Southern Roots and Transgender Identity:

A Black Man’s Story of Resilience and Transformation

by Kris Butler (he/him)
The Gender Creative Child, by Diane Ehrensaft, PhD

Storytelling is where the real magic happens in life. It’s what turns my collection of misadventures into something more, something that can make us laugh, cry, and see a bit of ourselves in each other’s stories. It’s through telling our tales that we connect, share a laugh over our mistakes, and find comfort in knowing we’re not alone. This book is my way of adding to the grand symphony of human experience, sharing a tune made up of mishaps, achievements, and countless moments that shimmer with the ridiculous and wonderful nature of life.  Kris Butler
